You will generally need your parcel’s tracking number and delivery postcode to access your tracking information and any available delivery options.

Unsure Where to Find Tracking Information?

The most helpful suggestion is to view the email from the seller that was sent when items were shipped or dispatched, which can flow after the original order confirmation email.

It may look something like this example from TEMU below, but will differ between each seller and may not match exactly.

Tracked Successful?

Once the 16 digit tracking number has been added to the Evri App, the parcel can be monitored in transit while on its way to your destination.

Day Of Delivery 🚚

On the day of delivery, your Evri app can provide smaller time windows that your courier plans to work towards so that you receive your parcel within the allocated time slots.

The courier can change the times (ETAs- Estimated Arrival of Time) if they have encountered an unexpected delay during their commute.

Delays can unfortunately happen in ways that impact the courier beyond their control. Several household deliveries with no notes or preferences to follow, unsuccessfully knocking at several neighbours for delivery assistance, expired access codes in multi-occupant buildings, poor parking options, rowdy dogs in the front gardens, etc can put the courier behind on schedule massively.

Having the recipient home and delivering directly to the household is by far the simplest option for delivery, that causes the least amount of issues or delays in receiving their package.

However, couriers know recipients cannot always be available, but an alternative delivery suggestion saves the courier guessing what you’d like them to do or where is or isn’t suitable to leave the parcel in your absence.

If the recipient is aware no one will be available in the household to receive the delivery during certain times due to other commitments, it saves the couriers time knocking and waiting for an answer.

If recipients have specified a trusted neighbour who has agreed to and will certainly be available to receive the parcel, or alternatively suggested a suitable safe place to securely leave the package, it can avoid any delays, errors or mishaps.

Couriers understand failed deliveries, cranky neighbours, long waits and missed deadlines can cause problems for recipients and couriers alike. This is where communication of delivery preferences with the courier can make all the difference for an uncomplicated delivery.

2. Update Your Delivery Preferences

Would you like your parcel left somewhere specific, delivered to a preferred neighbour, or placed in a suitable safe place?

Evri allows customers to set delivery preferences and add helpful instructions through its app or website. Depending on your parcel and the delivery service selected by the sender, you may also be able to request a delivery diversion.

3. Leave Clear Instructions for Your Courier

Helpful delivery notes can make a real difference.

For example, you could explain:

  • Where your parcel box or designated storage box is located.
  • Which door or entrance your courier should use.
  • Where larger parcels should be placed.
  • How to identify your property or find an accessible delivery point.
  • Any relevant access arrangements or special delivery requirements.

A Few Helpful Things to Remember

  • Be specific: Clear instructions help your courier identify the correct location.
  • Choose a suitable safe place: Ideally, it should be sheltered, secure and easy to access.
  • Keep instructions up to date: Remove any notes that are no longer relevant.
  • Check your delivery options: Not every option is available for every parcel.
  • Remember: Delivery preferences and customer notes help guide your courier, but they cannot guarantee that a particular delivery request will always be possible.
